Hi, I am Kaushik Amar Das. I recently finished by Masters in Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Information Technology, Guwahati, India. Prior to my masters, I completed my BTech degree in the same field from Assam Science and Technology University, India.
In my free time, I like to play my piano or indulge in some light video gaming. Either that or exercising.
At present, I am actively pursuing opportunities in Academia and IT Industry.
I am interested in using artificial intelligence for social good. To this end, I have worked on building computational models for detecting offensive content in social media posts. Right now, I am primarily using deep neural network models. You can find these works in the publications section of this site. You may also look at my masters thesis in which is a compilation of some of my works on hate speech detection in social media.
Contemplating whether to work on current hate-speech competitions or upcoming conferences. I have two competitions on my radar, haspeede2@evalita 2020 and HASOC-Dravidian-CodeMix - FIRE 2020
